With the Hackeuses Club, we aim at women because, even if the world of technology has nothing to do with gender, many women are reluctant to enter the field when they see that it is predominantly male.

It’s a shame to think that half of humanity is using tools that were not created by them, don’t you think?

Moreover, the world of new technologies offers a lot of career opportunities in a multitude of fields. Even without prior work experience or a diploma, it is possible to learn quickly and get a job!

This is what you’ll gain

  • Better understanding and being able to choose one of the different career paths in IT (web development, IY support, UX Design, Artificial Intelligence, DevOps/SecOps, project management, etc.).

  • Being comfortable with your computer and using it effectively.

  • Using collaborative tools that are important in today’s market (Google Drive, Trello, CMS, etc.).

  • Training your soft skills: speaking in public, working in a team, feeling comfortable in your work, daring to ask others for help, giving and receiving feedback.

  • Reading and correcting code in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

  • Creating your own digital identity (LinkedIn, Medium, etc.).

The field

Week 1 & 2

You can’t possibly decide which digital career path you want to pursue without delving into the wonderful world of IT first! In this module, we will introduce you to today’s essential online tools and teach you how to use them safely!

 

WHAT?

  • Understanding data and information.
  • Using digital tools to interact, communicate and collaborate with others.
  • Creating online content while staying in line with copyrights.
  • Protecting your computer and files.

Digital Career exploration

Week 3, 4 & 5

Once you have a better understanding of today’s digital landscape, it’s time to discover the different paths you can take in IT. In this module we, therefore, help you discover a wide range of jobs by exploring all main aspects of the digital world through the lifecycle of digital products.

 

WHAT?

  • Identifying the target audience.
  • Managing a project.
  • Identifying technical needs.
  • Branding and designing.
  • Creating a digital marketing plan.
  • Mock ups (low and high fidelity) and user testing.
  • Google Sites and Google MyBusiness.
  • Coding in HTML, CSS, JavaScript.

Preparing the next steps

Week 6

After having discovered the paths that you can take, it’s time to decide what direction you want to go in. And we are more than happy to guide you to identify the path that best fits your needs via personalized career coaching!

Personalized coaching to decide the next steps.

For this training Accenture, Telenet, Orange, SD Works, Digital Wallonia, Le Forem and Wallonia are joining forces to offer new perspectives, and above all an innovative way of learning, making careers in a cutting-edge sector more than just a dream.

How does it work?

Register

Fill in the registration form to register. This way, we can get to know you a little better.

Follow an info session or a workshop

In preparation of the course, we organise info sessions and motivation workshops. This way you’ll have all the information you need to be well prepared for the selection day. You can find all our events here.

Selection day

Once the registrations are closed, we will invite you to our selection day and discuss your motivation for this course. This is the fun part!

Is BeCode something for me?

  • Are you looking for work and are you registered at Actiris, Forem, Bruxelles Formation or VDAB?
  • Are you over 18 years old?
  • Do you want to learn new skills in order to start working in a sector with a lot of future perspectives
  • Traditional learning methods are not for you and you need a more hands-on approach?

Then you are more than welcome! Our courses are accessible to everyone. We do not attach any importance to your last diploma, experience, income or age. What interests us is your motivation!

What will I get from BeCode?

We do offer a learning environment where you can hone your technical skills and develop soft skills. You will get a roof over your head, a comfortable office chair, WiFI, coffee, nice colleagues and a coaching team who will regularly give you a helping hand. In return, we expect personal commitment and ask you to step out of your comfort zone. So you are able to make the most of your seven month training and can get back on the job market.

How much does a training at BeCode cost?

At BeCode we do like to invest in your future! The training costs are fully covered by BeCode’s partners and sponsors so you don’t have to pay any tuition fee.
