Since 2017, BeCode has been offering inclusive coding bootcamps to job seekers so they can launch careers in the ICT sector as web developers, AI data operators, DevSecOps developers or Cybersecurity specialists. And we go beyond that.

Our trainers are learning guides, like sherpas in the mountains, who know the shortest path to the skills our juniors (students) need to be successful in the job market. Using our pedagogical framework, based on 7 pillars, our trainers lead the group to a successful career in the digital world.

What's your job?

Responsibilities and Duties

As a coach, you will guide your juniors to their new career path using our active pedagogical framework:

Has work experience as a software developer or in IT education.
Proficient in the C# programming language and the .NET/ASP.NET frameworks, including MVC architecture.
Has experience with HTML and CSS for web development.
Can teach fundamental programming concepts in JavaScript.
Has hands-on experience with CLI tools, Git and GitHub for version control and collaboration.
Demonstrates patience and empathy, with strong listening skills and the ability to communicate empathetically and without judgment.
Is passionate about technology and learning, sharing new developments in the field with colleagues and juniors.
Is fluent in Dutch and comfortable working in English.
Is familiar with active learning methodologies to empower students through practical, hands-on experience.

What do we expect

Are you the new team member we are looking for?

As a coach, you will guide your juniors to their new career path using our active pedagogical framework:

Develop well-structured learning and consolidation challenges with active learning methodologies such as project-based learning, self-study, learning by teaching, etc., to teach them independent learning.
Facilitate, monitor and support group rituals such as workshops, watch parties, stand-ups, etc.
Create a dynamic of mutual aid within the group: encourage collaboration and group decision-making.
Assess learning progress (e.g., via code reviews and consolidation challenges).
Identify and resolve individual learning issues and provide individual follow-up as needed.
Encourage junior participation in tech events such as hackathons, external projects and meetups.Follow up on administrative tasks such as recording interactions, tracking daily attendance, participating in selection interviews and events to promote training.
Support juniors in finding internships or jobs.

- Contributing to pedagogical development within BeCode through collaboration and co-creation with our community of trainers.
- Providing support for various projects that match your interests and the needs of the company.
- Provide coaching for B2B projects that help fund BeCode’s social mission.
